一个多世纪以来几代人梦寐以求的现代化正在向中华民族走来,人们心向往之的现代化正在东方地平线上冉冉升起。然而,现代化并不是一席现成的供人们尽情享用的美餐。历史经验,特别是后发型现代化国家的历史经验告诉人们,追求现代化的仁人志士曾倍受艰辛,处于现代化进程中的社会时有动荡起伏,从事现代化事业的人们也往往面临着各种焦虑和困惑。各种心理障碍不时地向人们袭来,抑郁症明显呈上升趋势,甚至有人断言它会成为新世纪的时代病。于是,社会转型把心理保健问题摆到许多人的面前。首先,要求人们深刻理解现代化进程所造成的深刻社会变革。我们所经历的变革是一种深层的社会转型,即由农业经济转向工业经济,由自然经济转向商品经济。前者表示着人们与自然界交换物质和能量的技术方式,后者表示着人们交换自己的活动和产品的社会方式。它们分别造就了不同的生活方式,
The dream of more than a century’s modernization has been coming to the Chinese nation for generations, and the aspiration for modernization is rising on the horizon of the East.
