当前,我们面临的新形势、新任务和新环境正在发生深刻而复杂的变化。党要站在时代的前列,始终成为中国先进社会生产力的发展要求、中国先进文化的前进方向、中国最广大人民根本利益的忠实代表,就必须培养和选拔大批担当历史重任的优秀年轻干部,把社会主义事业全面推向21世纪。根据新时期党所肩负的历史使命和干部队伍建设的新特点,培养和选拔年轻干部应该突出强调五个“意识”。
At present, the new situation, new tasks and new environment we are facing are undergoing profound and complicated changes. To stand at the forefront of the times, the party must always be the development requirement of China’s advanced social productive forces. The advanced direction of China’s advanced culture and its faithful representation in the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people must train and select a large number of excellent young cadres who take on the heavy responsibility of history. The cause of socialism has been pushed to the 21st century in an all-round way.
