五菱在中国汽车发展史上是一个老字辈,从拖拉机到商用车,再到轿车,它顽强生存,不仅没有堙没在历史的长河中,反而开始茁壮成长。这是一段怎样的历程?让我们通过当事人口述向着事情的源头去慢慢探索,体会五菱过往中的不易与艰辛,体会老一辈五菱人在抉择面前的判断与割舍。丁叔,原名姜公望,清华大学1950级物理系毕业,华北大学26班学员。1964年从广西铁路局政治部调柳州拖拉机厂(柳州微型汽车厂前身)任副厂长、厂长。文化大革命以前,丁叔本着“自力更生、以厂养厂、不赚不赔、以杂养专”的十六字原则,带领职工在困难的环境中使濒临下马的动力机械厂成功转产拖拉机,并逐步发展成为全国八大拖拉机厂之一。改革开放后,又领导工厂完成了转产汽车的工作。丁叔可谓五菱事业的拓荒年和奠基者。2010年冬天,这位老人以一种平淡的语气向《汽车商业评论》讲述了他们所经历的一切。当本刊记者将口述历史成稿交由他审阅后,丁叔表示,当时根据记忆信口开河,现在看所整理的文字,里面与五菱历史这个主题无关的个人情况讲的太多,而讲五菱历史时又没有突出“自强不息、艰苦创业”的五菱精神这条贯穿始终的红线。他说:“既是要在你们这份在汽车行业颇有影响的《汽车商业评论》上刊登,讲的又是在汽车行业颇有影响的五菱的历史,我确实有点忐忑不安。”《汽车商业评论》对老人为读者、为五菱、为历史,也为自己良心负责任的精神满怀敬意,为使本次口述历史更为丰满,我们特意刊登了3篇不同历史时期丁叔所写的文章。尽管如此,关于五菱的创业史和发展史一定还有很多因为我们编辑不当而有缺陷之处,希望五菱前辈和相关人士能够原谅并提出意见。
