W.H.奥登的二战应景诗《1939年9月1日》曾因遭诗人自己否定而一度沉寂,本世纪“9·11”恐怖事件发生后,该诗得以复活并成为奥登的著名代表作之一。本文运用新近资料和历史眼光,从主题角度为该诗的价值与地位进行辩护,认为诗中蕴涵丰富的认知、伦理、诗学价值;这些价值的实现得益于诗人三位一体的主题建构(“历史认知-伦理情感-诗学意志”)。该诗的主题建构与人类心灵活动之认知、情感、意志相契合,顺应受众心理,从而成就了《1939年9月1日》的强大生命力。
WH Auden’s World War II scenery poem “September 1, 1939” was once denied by the poet and was once silent. This century “9.11 ” terrorist incident, the poem was resurrected and became the famous representative of Auden one. Based on the recent data and historical perspectives, this paper defended the value and status of the poem from the perspective of the theme, and believed that the poem contained rich cognitive, ethical and poetic values. The realization of these values benefited from the theme construction of the poet “Historical Cognition - Ethical Affection - Poetic Will”). The theme construction of this poem is in line with the cognition, emotion and will of the human mind activity and complies with the psychology of the audience so as to achieve the great vitality of “September 1, 1939”.
