1996年是“文化大革命”爆发30周年、结束20周年。在此之年,在文革的故乡,终有了一本关于文革的专著问世。这就是席宣、金春明先生著的《“文化大革命”简史》。此书在清华大学新华书店出售时,很快告罄。据悉,此书第二次印刷已逾7万册。由此可见,此书及此事成为人们勿忘文革、重视反思文革的一个生动的体现。 1996 marks the 30th anniversary of the “Cultural Revolution” and ends its 20th anniversary.
