The Huaihe River is the geographical dividing line between China and North China. It spans five provinces, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Shandong, and Jiangsu. The historical Huaihe River was originally a river with clear water and no water. In the era of farming, the Huaihe River Basin, which has a vast expanse of plains, good climate and water resources, is one of the richest areas in China and one of the most suitable areas for human survival. “Walk through thousands of miles away from the banks of the Huaihe River.” This popular ballad is the best summary of the rich civilization history of the Huaihe River Basin. It is not only rich in rice, wheat, and cotton, but also famous teas in Lu’an, bamboo in the Dabie Mountains, pomegranates in Huaiyuan, and silver fish in the Huaihe River. Today, the Huaihe River Basin is still the seven major river basins in the country.
