自1997年7月爆发东南亚“金融危机”后,日本又出现经济衰退。近来外电又频传1999年的世界经济增速将有可能放慢。世人普遍关注全球宏观经济的现状及趋势。本刊特邀外交部著名的英语专家和国际经济问题专家、外交学院兼职教授钟述孔先生用英文撰写了《关于当前的世界经济状况》一文。为方便广大读者的阅读与理解,作者还将其译成中文并加注释。这对于为数众多的年轻读者熟悉常用的经济术语,并了解世界经济的现状和预测,将会有所帮助。
Since the outbreak of the “financial crisis” in Southeast Asia in July 1997, Japan has seen another economic recession. Recently, foreign sources have also said that the world economic growth in 1999 will likely slow down. The world is generally concerned about the current global macroeconomic situation and trends. The magazine has invited renowned English expert and international economic expert from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Zhong Shu Kong, an adjunct professor at the Foreign Affairs University, to write an article on “The Current World Economic Situation” in English. In order to facilitate the reading and understanding of readers, the author also translated it into Chinese and added comments. It would be helpful to familiarize a large number of young readers with commonly used economic terms and to understand the status quo and forecast of the world economy.
