睡莲在国内引种最早的单位是中国科学院北京植物园,引进耐寒品种最早的是南京中山植物园,80年代初他们从美国华盛顿树木园引入耐寒品种17个。90年代末中国科学院武汉植物所搜集引种热带及耐寒品种50多个。到了21世纪初,南京艺莲苑搜集引种热带及耐寒品种100多个,是国内种质资源保存最多的水生园。但是,大家只停留在品种搜集、引种、扩繁初级阶段,没有新的突破,育种工作落后国外
Water lilies introduced in China is the earliest unit of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Botanical Garden, the introduction of cold-resistant varieties of the earliest Zhongshan Botanical Garden in Nanjing, the early 80s from the United States, Washington, Arboretum, introduced cold-tolerant varieties 17. In the late 1990s, Wuhan Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, collected over 50 tropical and cold-tolerant varieties. By the beginning of the 21st century, Nanjing Eryuan Garden has collected over 100 tropical and cold-tolerant species and is the most preserved aquatic garden in China.
