“南有瑞金,北有照金”。地处渭北高原的照金镇,始终是闪烁着传奇与壮歌的璀璨明珠。照金是一片红色的热土。1933年,刘志丹、谢子长、习仲勋在铜川照金建立了西北地区第一个山区革命根据地,并在此创建了芋园游击队和中国工农红军第二十六军,开展建党、建军、建政工作,照金由此成为西北革命的摇篮,在中国革命史上写下光辉绚丽的篇章。如今,刘志丹、谢子长、习仲勋的高大雕像屹立在镇广场上,他们的风采与智慧,成为照金镇革命历史中的生动一页,人文精神的形象诠释。
