Based on the data from 32 experimental plots, this paper analyzed the habitat conditions of cypress forests in the hilly area of central Sichuan Basin. The results showed that the slope orientation, slope position and soil thickness were the main site factors affecting the growth of cypress forests. The established conditions were shady slope, lower slope position and thick soil layer.
