物业一词来源,今存两种说法。其一,“外来词”之说: 例证:《物业管理概论》(中国物业管理从业人员岗位培训指定教材之一,建设部房地产业司编)称:“物业是由英语‘Estate’或‘Propergy’引译而来的,含义为‘财产、资产、拥有物,房地产’等,这是一个广义的范畴”。其二,“方言词”之说例证1:《物业管理运作全书》(中国城市出版社2001年1月出版)称:“物业一词原来是粤港方言对房地产的称呼,它最早在香港使用,其含义是单元性的房地产”。
