The opening of the Pittsburgh series, a black historic play by August Wilson, plays an important role in Jane Austen’s life, setting the tone for the other nine works in the series in characterization and plotting. This article attempts to explore how Hirston, the protagonist in the play, becomes a lost lamb under the double blow of a social space full of discrimination and a confused psychological space; and further analyzes how he confronted the construction of physical space and culture Under the support of space, dissolving social space and psychological space can provide ample space for Hittinson’s cognitive space to forcibly redeem his soul while building a new space for him. In the end, Hittite was able to create new space and gradually form a complete external world awareness and inner self-awareness, gaining the courage to rebirth and becoming the warrior who fought for black freedom.
