回鹘文《金光明最胜王经》(以下简称《金光明经》)原文全名为Altun nglüg yaruq yaltrqlγqopta ktrülmi nom iligi atlγ nom bitig据目前所知,其最完整的本子为一手抄本。1910年由俄国的C·E·马洛夫在我国甘肃酒泉附近的文殊沟所得,现藏列宁格勒苏联科学院东方学研究所手稿部。另有两叶为瑞典考古学家F·伯尔格曼于1927—1935年参加西北科学考察团时在甘肃所得,现存斯德哥尔摩民族学博物馆。此外,德国考古队在新疆也发现有此经的残卷,现藏柏林德意志民主共和国古代历史和考古学中心研究所吐鲁番写本部。
