《复仇之角》是美国作家乔·希尔创作的一部黑色魔幻小说,讲述的是一个关于爱情、信仰以及复仇的故事。作品主人公伊格,因女友惨遭杀害而蒙受不白之冤,在一夜宿醉后发现头上竟长出两只犄角,甚至还拥有了让人吐露内心黑暗秘密的魔鬼力量。最终,化身为魔鬼的伊格利用犄角的力量将凶手正法为女友复仇。该文运用文学伦理学批评方法,阐释贯穿作品的多个伦理隐喻和伦理反讽话语的建构,同时解析伊格如何陷入伦理困境并最终通过伦理选择走出困境,从而解构伊格由人至魔的心理认知过程,并揭示作品深层的伦理呼唤和道德教诲,同时表达了对现实社会道德问题的反思。
The Corner of Vengeance is a black magical novel by American writer Joe Hill that tells a story of love, faith, and revenge. The protagonist Ignatius, suffering from innocence caused by the murder of his girlfriend, found two horns on his head after a hangover overnight, and even possessed the devil’s power to reveal the secrets of his heart. Eventually, Ignatius, the incarnation of the devil, uses the power of the horns to revenge the murderers Fa-rectified as their girlfriend. This article uses literary ethics criticism method to explain the construction of multiple ethical metaphors and ethical irony words throughout the works. At the same time, it analyzes how Iggy is trapped in ethical predicament and finally managed to get out of predicament through ethical choices, Cognitive process, and reveals the deep ethical call and moral education, at the same time expresses the reflection on the realistic social morality.
