Objective To investigate the effect of hesperidin on forced swimming behavior in mice with brain injury induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Methods 45 3-week-old ICR mice were randomly divided into saline, lipopolysaccharide group (LPS) and lipopolysaccharide + hesperidin group (LPS + Hesp) Forced swimming experiment video analysis system to detect the swimming time and cumulative time of each group of mice swimming within 5 min. Results Compared with the Saline group, the swimming distance of LPS group mice significantly shortened and the cumulative time did not change significantly. Compared with the LPS group, the cumulative distance traveled by the LPS + Hesp mice significantly prolonged and the cumulative time did not change significantly. Conclusion Hesperidin can significantly prolong the distance of forced swimming in mice with infectious brain injury.
