Ventricular septal mesothelioma is a malformation of the ventricular saccular septum of the heart chamber. It has been proved to be the result of the natural healing process of the ventricular septal defect (VSD) of the membrane. It is usually called a true membranous tumour. Pseudomembranous neoplasia is due to the tricuspid valve and chordae tendon long-term impact of VSD high-pressure blood flow, fibrous tissue deposition and adhesion formation, rather than a true septal tissue composition.
