世博会的展示经历了从百科全书式的陈列体系到反映人类共同关心的课题的主题呈现体系的演变。中国早期的博览会组织者在比较中西方展示差距时将中国展品的现代化分类和陈列提上了日程。而世博会展示体系的转变又促使中国参展者思考如何参与世界性话题和以更加凝练的方式展示国家的主题理念。
The exhibition of World Expo has undergone an evolution from the encyclopedic exhibition system to the theme presentation system reflecting the topics of common concern to human beings. Early Chinese exposition organizers put the classification and display of the modernization of Chinese exhibits on the agenda when comparing the differences between China and the West. The transformation of the Expo display system in turn prompted Chinese exhibitors to think about how to participate in a global conversation and demonstrate the country’s theme in a more concise manner.
