东胜市沙地面积占总面积的４５％，风沙危害成为制约农牧业生产发展的主要因素，沙区７５％的农田受到侵袭。１９８４年“沙柳林营造技术与资源开发利用”项目被列为自治区林业科技推广项目，经过１０年的艰苦努力，共营造沙柳林１８３３３ｈｍ２，治理沙地５４３２３ｈｍ２，项目区森林覆被率由治理前的５．８％提高到１６．６％；１９９３年该项目通过自治区林业厅的鉴定验收，获１９９４年“三北”防护林建设技术推广二等奖。 Dongsheng sand area accounted for 45% of the total area, the risk of sandstorm has become a major factor restricting the development of agricultural and animal husbandry production, 75% of the farmland in the sand area was affected. After 10 years of hard work, Shaliulin 18333hm2 and 54323hm2 sand land were treated. The forest cover rate in the project area was controlled by the government 5.8% of the former increased to 16.6%. In 1993, the project passed the appraisal and acceptance of the Forestry Bureau of Autonomous Region and won the second prize of technology promotion of the “Three Norths” shelterbelt construction in 1994.
