安徽徽州歙北许村古镇,风光绮丽,文风昌盛,人才辈出。文化古村落许村,至今仍保存有元朝以来的古建筑100余座,形成罕见而独特的村落景观。许村古建筑群是研究徽州文化的实物资料,具有较高的历史、科学和艺术价值,有着深厚的文化积淀。许村孕育出诸多拥有深刻人文内涵的传统民俗艺术,“舞大刀”就是其中极具代表性的一项民俗艺术活动。它在舞蹈道具的运用、动作的表演及心理祈求等层面上表现出独特的民俗文化内涵。
