将立体主义艺术的思想直接运用到建筑创作实践,只在20世纪初的很小的范围和很短的时间内出现过。捷克共和国的波西米亚是其中最具代表性的地区,也仅仅在这一地区发现了保存完整和成熟的立体主义建筑作品。波西米亚先锋建筑师的这些实践活动时间虽短,在捷克乃至欧洲的现代主义建筑史上却占有重要的地位,在完整性与连续性、建筑材料与形式的创新,以及多面性的造型语汇上呈现出鲜明的特点。从历史的视角对这一批立体主义建筑作品进行系统的梳理,阐述其产生、发展以至消亡的历史过程,并批判性地评价其在建筑史上的贡献与局限性。
Applying the idea of Cubist art directly to the practice of architectural creation appeared only in a very small area and in a very short period of time in the early 20th century. Bohemia in the Czech Republic is one of the most representative areas, and only the preserved and mature Cubist architectural works have been found in the area. These practices by Bohemia pioneer architects have taken a short time and occupy an important position in the history of modernist architecture in the Czech Republic and Europe.
