The history of Western private art museums can be traced back to the collection and display of works of art by the Italian Medicis Mystic family during the Renaissance. However, private private art galleries in mainland China lagged far behind in terms of starting point. At the same time, the problems of funds, the quality of exhibitions and the supply of human resources have also hindered the survival of Chinese-style art galleries. Private art museum “pioneers ”, no matter what the original purpose of building art galleries, have now tasted the bitterness and sweetness brought by this new format. Some of them are sticking, others are wavering, and some are already thinking of the path of retreat. The story of our period starts with the “Tangled” of the China Art Museum.
