通过对８９名脑卒中病人的家庭照料者与８９名对照者的比较研究表明，照料者的躯体健康、心理健康、社会功能以及经济状态都显著差于对照者。照料者的生活质量与被照料者的病期、疗效、生活质量有关；也与自身的角色、每日付出的照料时间有关。
A comparative study of 89 home caregivers with 89 stroke patients and 89 controls showed that caregivers had significantly lower physical, mental health, social functioning, and financial status than controls. The quality of life of caregivers is related to the duration, efficacy and quality of life of the caregivers, as well as the role they play and the daily care they take.
