Objective: To analyze the intelligence and behavior of children with primary enuresis (PNE). Methods: 40 cases of PNE diagnosed as observation group, 40 cases of normal children in our hospital during the same period as the control group. The intelligence tests were performed on the revised Wechsler Child Intelligence Scale (C-WISC) and the Conner’s Parents Symptom Questionnaire (PSQ) for behavioral problems. The intelligence levels and behavioral problems were compared between the two groups. Results: (1) Intelligence level. The total IQ scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P <0.01). The scores of knowledge, comprehension, classification and vocabulary of the total score and sub-item of speech IQ were significantly or very significantly lower than those of the control group (P <0.05, P <0.01). There was no significant difference between two groups in arithmetic scores (P> 0.05). The score of operation IQ test in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05) Group difference was not significant (P> 0.05). The difference between verbal IQ and operation IQ was> 10 points, and the observation group was 15.0%, significantly higher than that of the control group (2.2%, P <0.05). (2) Behavior problems. The scores of learning problems, psychosomatic problems, impulsiveness-hyperactivity, anxiety and hyperactivity index in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the conduct problems between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion: PNE children have mental development imbalance and more psychological behavior problems.
