老子英雄儿好汉,将门出虎子之类的俗语不知始于何时,既然能流传至今,想必有些道理。不过这种公式套用到作家身上就不大合适了。法国《读书》杂志日前发表了《才华能否遗传》的调查报告,列举了一些父子都是作家的例子?但要说明的并不是才华可以遗传,恰恰相反:才华不是遗产,儿女可以继承父亲的遗产,但能否继承父辈的写作才华则很难说。法国著名科幻小说家凡尔纳一生创作了66部小说,像《格兰特船长的儿女》、《气球上的五星期》等都是家喻户晓的名著。1905年他去世时留下5部小说稿。他的儿子与出版社商定,对书稿进行修改,去掉幽默的特色,增加了些粗俗描写,以迎合当时读者的趣味。
