Graduate enrollment continues to grow while also revealing the quality of graduate education is not high, from the perspective of promoting economic growth, expanding enrollment is useful to increase investment is necessary, triggering a series of thinking and debate. In this paper, panel data of 28 provinces from 1999 to 2010 are used to build an empirical analysis framework based on the Solow model including human capital. Panel fixed effects method is used to estimate the impact of postgraduate enrollment and graduate average student input on China’s economic growth. The empirical results show that the contribution of postgraduate enrollment and graduate student input is significantly positive. While other conditions are not changed, a certain proportion of economic growth is more effective in improving graduate student average per student input relative to expanding postgraduate enrollment.
