It has been learned from the literature that xylenol orange and zinc ions produce a purple complex at pH 5-6 with a maximum absorption peak at 574 nm and a molar absorptivity of 2.25 × 10 -4. As xylenol orange products at home and abroad contain impurities, it will reduce the sensitivity of zinc, resulting in the measured data due to different product lot numbers vary. This article describes the determination of xylenol orange pure complexation of zinc and the best conditions for the determination of impurities and xylenol orange zinc sensitivity of the interference. Experimental Part 1. Instruments and Reagents Apparatus: Spectrophotometer type 72 Reagents: Zinc standard solution: 0.01 mg ml -1, 0.125 g zinc oxide (ZnO) weighed, dissolved in 100 ml water and 1 ml sulfuric acid ,shift
