党的十四届四中全会《决定》指出,全面提高现有党员的素质,是我党面临的重大而紧迫的任务之一。最近,党的十四届六中全会《决定》又指出,在改革开放和现代化建设的整个过程中,要引导人们树立建设有中国特色社会主义的共同理想和正确的世界观、人生观、价值观。我认为,今日中国,正经历着一场深刻的社会变革,人们的世界观、人生观、价值观也随之发生着巨大的变化。在这种情况下,共产党员能否牢固地树立正确的人生价值观,是关系党的建设和社会主义建设前途和命运的重大问题。现就这个问题谈谈自己肤浅的认识。

Recently, the “Decision” of the 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party also pointed out: Throughout the process of reform and opening up and modernization, we must guide people in building their common ideal of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and in their correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. I think that today China is experiencing a profound social change. People’s world outlook, outlook on life and values have undergone tremendous changes. Under such circumstances, whether or not party members can firmly establish the correct values of their lives is a major issue that concerns the future and destiny of party building and socialist construction. Now on this issue to talk about their superficial understanding.
