In January 2009, the author went to Shanghai and took part in the International Symposium “Cold War and Sino-Soviet Relations: Diplomacy, Economic and Cultural Exchanges” hosted by East China Normal University Cold War International History Research Center. The Society was conducted in a non-public format and divided into 9 subgroups. A total of 30 scholars made keynote speeches and the three-day meeting schedule was intense and substantial.
