王子店村位于湖北广水市北部山区吴店镇,村民1441人,党员21人,村干部4人,耕地面积1443亩,山场面积3500亩。前任村支书由于思想作风不过硬,被群众称为“吃喝书记”,村里发展经济上一个项目垮一个,村级债务有54万多元。镇党委于2001年3月让我暂时主持村里工作。在临时主持工作的一年内,我把前3年村民欠交的各项税费都催收起来了,一年就上缴了镇里24万多元的三提五统款。当然,在工作中也得罪了不少人。看到村里工作基础确实太差,我多次产生“撂挑子”的想法。
Wangdiadian Village is located in Wudian Town, northern mountainous area of Guangshui City, Hubei Province. There are 1441 villagers, 21 party members and 4 village cadres. The farmland covers an area of 1,443 mu and the mountainous area covers 3,500 mu. Since the former secretary of village party secretary did not give his way to his ideological style, he was called “secretary of eating and drinking” by the masses. One project of economic development in the village collapsed and the village-level debt was more than 540,000 yuan. The town party committee let me temporarily preside over the village work in March 2001. During the year in which I was temporarily in charge of the work, I collected all the taxes and fees owed by the villagers in the previous three years and handed over the town a total of more than 240,000 yuan in one year and five sums of money. Of course, many people have been offended at work. Seeing that the foundation of the work in the village is really bad, I have repeatedly come up with the idea of “picking the right one”.
