The school is an important place to study and live. With the continuous development of Shanghai’s cities, foreign workers are working in Shanghai and living more and more. A considerable part of their children attend schools for migrant children. Such schools often have incomplete schooling procedures, poor infrastructure, no security and no serious fire hazards. During the special rectification that lasted for months as the key point of school governance, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education closed a number of schools that did not meet the requirements and effectively eliminated a number of hidden dangers. But the problems in the meantime are thought-provoking. Let us also look at the situation of a “carpet” fire inspection conducted by the municipality on migrant children’s schools in the early stages of remediation.
