世界上大约有500多种报春花,主要分布在北半球温带地区,我国有300种左右,主产地为西南部及西部地区。报春花为报春花科多年生草本,叶全部基生,花冠漏斗状或高脚碟状,雄蕊5枚,着生于花冠管上或冠喉部,内藏,蒴果球形或圆柱形,5—10瓣裂。在我国,常见栽培的报春花有欧洲报春(Primula vutgaris)、四季报春(P.obconica)、小花报春(P.mala—coides)、藏报春(P.praenitens)等。笔者单位(铁岭市园林处)多年栽培的欧洲报春,为小花香型品种,由于色彩单一,花朵较小(花冠直径2—3厘米),观赏价值
