茅荆坝森林公园,地处河北省东北部,与内蒙古赤峰相邻,距承德避暑山庄60公里,交通便利。游客可先到隆化县再经韩麻营、七家后到达森林公园;也可从承德经中关、七家后再到森林公园。 公园由五大景区组成,经营面积近30万亩,是生态类型和生物群落多样性的典型地区,也是野生动物生殖繁衍的乐园。景点敖包山是滦潮河的支流、武烈河的发源地。这里山泉密布、溪流纵横、水质清澈见底,常年川流不息。 经千百年的风雕雨琢,地升水出,使其地势巍峨,峰峦起伏,壮丽挺拔,蔚为壮观。加之有丰富的植被,繁茂的花草,可谓三季有花,四季常青。春天漫步其中,让人感到人间万物
