Increasing oil recovery is the eternal theme of oil and gas field development. At present, 70% of China’s oil production still comes from the old oilfields. Seven of the top ten oil and gas fields have been mined for over 30 years. As a whole, the development of high-water-cut oilfields will become a major challenge facing the oil industry as the old oilfields enter the stage of high production recovery and high water cut. Looked at the “2014 Foreign Petroleum Science and Technology Development Report” issued by China Petroleum Technology Institute, there are a lot of data show that not only in our country, in the near future, the old oil field will remain the main oil supplier in the world
