新一轮基础教育课程改革对教师提出了角色转换的要求。教师不再是一种只知“教书”的匠人,而应是学生发展的促进者,学习活动的组织者、引导者和参与者,教育教学的研究者,多方面的合作者,不断优化自身知识结构的学习者。惟有教师角色的全方位更新,才能在新课程的实施中发挥应有的功能。
