Ⅰ. Introduction
With the fast economic growth and development of China and its entry to the WTO, the traditional teaching approach of English can’t satisfy the needs of the learners to be qualified workers in their future business career while the ESP (English for specific purpose) provides us a novel approach of English teaching. This paper discusses how teaching ESP differs from General English teaching, the difference in teacher’s roles and ways in which the ESP teacher can acquire greater knowledge of specialist subjects.
