自我国加入世界贸易组织之后,我国的地位逐步提高,为了在国际上抢占优势地位,市场及企业对于高技术、高素质的复合型人才需求量日益增大。高职院校的主要目的也就是为企业及市场提供技艺型、操作型、高级应用型技术管理人才。目前,为了满足社会的发展需求,大多数高职院校只顾培养学生的专业技能,而忽视了学生总额和素质的培养,音乐美育活动也就被很多高职院校所忽视,或认为音乐教育活动是无足轻重、可有可无的。这种理念对高素质人才的培养和对高等职业教育的良性发展非常不利。正所谓,移风易俗莫过于乐。音乐美育对学生素质的培养、道德的提升作用重大。音乐美育是高职院校培养全面发展人才不可缺失的教学手段。
