On May 13, 2009, Chen Zhu, minister of health, on the telephone interview with Margaret Chan, director general of the World Health Organization (WHO). The two sides exchanged their views on the prevention and control strategy of Influenza A (H1N1), the characteristics and development of the epidemic, the development and stockpiling of antiviral drugs and vaccines. On behalf of the Chinese government, Chen Zhu thanked Margaret Chan for leading the World Health Organization to play an active role in global prevention and control of Influenza A (H1N1)
