Objective To analyze and evaluate the clinical effect of propofol combined ketamine on general anesthesia in children and provide reference for clinical pediatric anesthesia in the future. Methods Twenty-two ASAI-Ⅱ patients undergoing lower limbs, lower abdomen and perineal operations who were admitted to our hospital from November 2009 to December 2010 were randomly divided into group Ⅰ (control group) and Ⅱ group (treatment group) The other 11 cases were treated with ketamine anesthesia in group Ⅰ and ketamine combined with propofol anesthesia in group Ⅱ. Results Both the treatment group and the control group showed mild respiratory and circulatory depression, but the anesthetic effect in the treatment group was stable and comfortable. Awake children after surgery fast, no nausea and vomiting and other adverse reactions. Conclusion Ketamine plus propofol is superior to ketamine alone in anesthesia in pediatric intravenous general anesthesia. Ketamine combined with propofol is a reasonable combination of venous general anesthesia in pediatric patients. It is recommended that pediatrics should be widely used in clinical practice.
