广东省潮阳县金浦公社南门大队林场,位于潮阳县城西郊,距海2公里。地理位置在北纬23°16′,东经116°35′。海拔10米,山地多为强度侵蚀红壤,岩石裸露,属沿海低山丘陵。论自然条件属于杉木自然分布南缘,纬度偏低,日照过强,气温偏高,每年5—11月常受台风影响,冬春季又常有6级以上北风及东北风袭击。解放初期栽植了马尾松和相思树,绿化了荒山。1956年在马尾松和相思树林内,混交试种了3,000株杉木,生长良好,从1964年开始
