我军最早建立的军团是1930年6月中旬在闽西长汀成立的红1军团。该军团是以红4军为基础并集合闽西和赣西南的地方主力红军合编而成的。1929年1月,毛泽东、朱德率领红4军主力离开井冈山,先后转战赣闽边界,进入开辟赣南、闽西根据地的斗争。1930年3月,赣西南、闽西苏维埃相继成立。4月,中共闽西特委将闽西地区的红军合编,组成红12军。
Our army was the first to establish a corps in mid-June 1930 in the western Fujian Changting Red Army 1 established. The Corps is based on the Red Army as the base 4 and a collection of western Fujian and southwest of the Red Army compiled from the main force. In January 1929, Mao Zedong and Zhu De led the Red Army to leave the Jinggangshan main force, and successively fought on the border with Jiangxi and Fujian to enter the fight to open up southern Jiangxi and western Fujian base areas. March 1930, southwestern Jiangxi, western Fujian Soviet Union have been established. In April, the CPC Fujian Western Committee made a compilation of the Red Army in the western Fujian region to form the Red 12 Army.
