January 10, 2012, AkzoNobel announced that it has completed its acquisition of China’s leading specialty surfactant manufacturer Boxing Huarun Oil Chemical Company. Boxing is a leading supplier of nitrile process route amines and derivatives. These products are versatile and are often used in many industrial and consumer products, such as fabric softeners, asphalt additives and hair care products. Boxing company was established in 1993, headquartered in Shandong Province, with sales of 100 million euros in 2010, its business activities will be integrated into the Akzo Nobel surface chemicals business
