High prolactin (PRL) hyperlipidemia and obesity may be related, but the mechanism is unknown. The aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between body weight gain and serum PRL levels in patients with pituitary prolactinomas (PR). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Forty-two patients (24 males and 18 men) with a mean age of (37 ± 2.4) years, were confirmed by radiographic evidence of pituitary tumor with persistent high PRL due to other causes.
