Guangxi Tongzhi Dialect Records, edited by Professor Yang Huan-dian, was published by Guangxi People’s Publishing House in January 1999. The book 130,000 words, pricing 1 50 yuan. The book includes the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar of the six existing Chinese dialects (Cantonese, Ping dialect, Mandarin, Hakka dialect, Xiang dialect, Min dialect) in Guangxi province. Before each dialect, “Overview” introduces the history, distribution and language of the dialect.
