辽宁教育出版社日前出版的《世纪之交:与高科技大师对话》一书,由国家科委常务副主任朱丽兰主编,编撰者包括高科技领域的七位首席科学家以及26位中国科学院院士和中国工程院院士。全书综述了高科技领域的概貌,展望高科技领域世纪之交的景象,以对话的形式,回答和阐述了高科技领域中对下个世纪将产生深刻影响的重大问题。该书的编撰和出版受到国内外舆论的关注。联合国秘书长加利为该书撰写了序言。《漫谈信息高速公路》系该书的一章,答问者何德全先生为中国工程院院士。
Recently published by Liaoning Education Press, “The Turn of the Century: Dialogue with High-Tech Masters,” was edited by Zhu Lilan, executive vice director of the State Science and Technology Commission. The editors included seven chief scientists in the hi-tech field and 26 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering. The book provides an overview of high-tech fields, looks into the landscape of high-tech fields at the turn of the century, and answers and expounds in the form of dialogues major issues that will have a profound impact on the next century in the high-tech fields. The compilation and publication of this book have drawn the attention of public opinion at home and abroad. United Nations Secretary-General Gary wrote the preamble for the book. “Talk about the information highway” is a chapter of the book, the questioner Mr. He Dequan as the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
