读《晏子春秋》,我经常看到晏婴在流泪,我的眼睛也经常不由得湿润起来。作为一国宰相,晏子为什么而落泪呢?我们可以从与他有关的三则歌谣窥见一斑。《晏子春秋》内、外篇记载了与齐景公的长庲台有关的三件事,说起来,这三首歌谣也都与此有联系。《内篇谏下第二》记载,晏子要出使鲁国,他前脚一走,齐景公后脚就下令国都的老百姓开始建造大台(有专家考证说,就是那个长庲台),当时正值天寒地冻,老百姓忍着饥寒去服劳役。晏子回来汇报完出使情况后,景公请他坐下喝酒。酒兴正浓时,晏子说道:
