Objective To understand the prevalence and drug resistance of Campylobacter jejuni in chicken in Nantong and to provide the basic data for the development of prevention and cure measures of Campylobacter jejuni in chicken. Methods The specimens of Campylobacter jejuni were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. The Campylobacter jejuni was isolated and identified according to the method of GB / T 4789.9-2008. The drug resistance of the isolated strains was detected by agar diffusion method. Results In 415 stool samples, 57 Campylobacter jejuni were positive, with a total positive rate of 13.73%. The positive rates of Miao chicken excrement, adult chicken anal swab and chicken farm environmental samples were 6.49%, 21.24% and 7.35% respectively. The positive rate of Campylobacter jejuni of adult chicken was significantly higher than that of the chicken feces and chicken farm Samples, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). 46 strains of Campylobacter jejuni isolates were resistant to cephalosporin, cefoperazone, cefaclor, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, nalidixic acid, cotrimoxazole, tetracycline, doxycycline. Resistance spectrum of drug-resistant strains mainly concentrated in 10 resistant, 11 resistant, 12 resistant and 14 resistant, up to 86.96%. Conclusion The detection rate of Campylobacter jejuni in chicken is high in Nantong, and there is a potential risk of cholera aspergillosis in chickens. Campylobacter jejuni isolates have significant resistance to many kinds of antibiotics and should be paid great attention by all social sectors.
