Foreign students visiting Britain are to be educated in the etiquette(礼仪)of queuing for buses, after local(本地的) users complained (抱怨)about them not observing (观察)the conventions of standing in line.
　　 Southern Vectis, which operates buses on the Isle of Wight, off England’s south coast, said it was to contact(联系方式)local language schools following several complaints about the behavior(行为) of young students over the summer vacation.
　　“On the Isle of Wight we get lots of foreign language students staying with families,” said operations manager March Morgan Huws.“In their cultures(文化), they do not queue for buses where they live and there is a scrum(混战,一窝蜂) every time a bus turns up, while in British culture there is a nice orderly queue.”
　　We have had quite a few complaints from residents who queue up in an orderly fashion(时髦的,时尚的) then all those foreign studentspush past them.
　　 “We will work with the language schools to provide(提供) some instructions(介绍) on the etiquette of queuing. We won’t be marching the students up and down showing them how to queue, we will just leave it up to the group leaders to pass on the information(信息).”
　　 Orderly queuingas seen during the recent(最近)Northern Rock banking crisis is seen as a quintessentially(典型)British convention. One social anthropologist(人类社会学家) believes Britains are even capable of forming one-person queues at bus stops.

　　有序排队是英国典型的社会礼仪,即便在不久前诺森罗克银行发生挤兑危机期间,人们仍坚持自觉排队。一位人类社会学家认为,英国人在车站等车时也能自觉地排成一个纵队。
