加钛离子氮化是把海绵钛直接放置在离子氮化炉内阴极和阳极上进行离子氮化处理的一种工艺方法。这种工艺方法使离子氮化的速度大大提高,其保温时间仅为普通离子氮化的三分之一。以18CrMnTi、20Cr、38CrMoAl、40CrNiMo 等合金钢为例,为获得0.3~0.4毫米厚的氮化层,普通离子氮化需保温8~10小时,而加钛离子氮化只需要保温3小时,这就使离子氮化速度比气体氮化速度提高15倍左右。经加钛离子处理后的表面硬度也比普通离子氮化有所提高。在离子氮化设备上进行加钛离子氮化不需要增加任何设备,也不会给操作
