我于1962年拜师马连良先生,当时在人民剧场举行的拜师会,老舍先生也参加了。自打拜师以后,看马先生演出的机会大大增多了。我记得有一次马先生晚上要在华北剧场演出,我们团上午正排《雏凤凌空》呢,传达室让我去接电话。我拿起电话,“喂,您是谁呀?”就听见电话那头儿说:“我是你爷爷。”哎哟!我一听,马爷爷。我说:“爷爷您什么事儿呀?”他说:“你今儿下午四点钟到清华池,你陪着我洗澡去。”我说:“好,我四点钟就到王府井那儿。”记得那天晚上
