宴饮活动作为人类所特有的追求精神欢娱和口腹之欲的社会文化景观,蕴藏了人们对理想生活的无限向往和对欢娱这一人类天性的极大满足,因而被世界各国的艺术家作为艺术创作的题材广泛付诸艺术实践活动。伊特鲁里亚利奥波德家族墓室壁画与洛阳朱村墓室壁画中的夫妇宴饮图是这一创作题材的典型代表。无论从丧葬观念、社会等级、价值形态还是从内容主题、构图布局、艺术风格来看均有着惊人的相似性,又因历史文化背景或民族喜好不同而各具特色。
